The Premier League resumed play with Manchester United visiting White Hart Lane and Tottenham. Spurs struck first, but the Red Devils responded with three unanswered strikes and looked nothing like the team who lost to Burnley and very much like a squad set to defend their title.
Man City wins again 4-2 over Arsenal. Emmanuel Adebayor scored again, but kicked Robin van Persie in the face and then rushed the length of the Eastlands to taunt his former supporters upon scoring and will surely be banned for next weekend’s battle with Man U at Old Trafford.
Chelsea quietly continues to roll.
